Gina Berretta and Nicolas Bearde work with Danny Glover on The Responsibility Project

"Second Line" is a short film, directed by Glover and written by Nicole Middleton, about one man's journey from indifference to understanding. The project is produced by Responsibility Project, funded by Liberty Mutual.

In an article on ESPN's Page 2, Glover explains,

"We have responsibilities to be respectful of one another," said Glover, who considers himself a "cultural producer" these days. "In some ways, it may sound esoteric but we should celebrate relationships."

Glover, looking back on his career, said his success over the past 30 years has afforded him opportunities to do projects with worthwhile goals.

"When you have had a career as long and fulfilling as I have, it's not about the money," Glover said. "The best part of my life is where I am now."

Disney Channel “Shake It Up!”

A new show will be hitting the Disney Channel this Fall 2010 called “Shake It Up!” The show was originally set to be titled “Dance, Dance, Chicago,” but according to reports the name has changed. The show will begin filming in July in Hollywood, California.

The show was created by Chris Thompson (“Laverne and Shirley,” “Bosom Buddies,” “The Naked Truth,” “Action”) and executive-produced by Thompson and Rob Lotterstein (“The War at Home,” “Ellen”).

Gary Marsh, President and Chief Creative Officer of Disney Channels Worldwide said about the show:

“Newcomers Bella Thorne and Zendaya make for one of the most likable and engaging BFF duos we’ve ever seen. And while buddy comedies have been around since the start of television, what makes ‘Shake It Up’ unique is that this is the first time anyone has incorporated dancing into the underlying premise of a sitcom.”

The show will be about two characters, CeCe Jones and Raquel “Rocky” Blue, who dream of becoming professional dancers. They become background dancers on the most popular teen dance show “Shake It Up, Chicago,” and have to learn a bunch of new dance moves, while at the same time taking part in a number of new adventures!
