Tony's Money
This story is set in one of San Francisco’s oldest restaurants. It involves an old cook’s life’s savings, and a waiter’s only chance to save himself.

A second generation Italian-American learns when his father dies, that his family is in worse shape than anyone expected. Nick Nicoletti has inherited his father’s debt, and his father’s job as a waiter at Sam’s Grill. There he discovers that the working class offers no hope to get himself and his family out of trouble, until he discovers Tony’s money. Tony, the old cook has his life’s savings tied in bags around his body. Tony’s money is Nick’s only chance. As Nick works out a plan to separate Tony from his money, he begins to understand both Tony’s world and his own.
